Pulling planes, not punches - Bergman Productions' spirited adventure with Sandro Marc-Charles

Here at Bergman Productions, we're all about the gravity of our work, bringing profound concepts to life, and assisting our clients in painting vivid pictures with our collaborative projects. However, our earnestness never overshadows the fact that we love having a laugh - especially when it's for a fantastic cause.

A year or two ago, we had the pleasure of working with Sandro Marc-Charles, a successful businessman known for his sharp wit as much as his entrepreneurial skill. But instead of collaborating on a business pitch or corporate video, we teamed up for an uproarious fundraiser video for Special Olympics Oregon. For those of you who might not be familiar, this exciting event involves teams, supported by community sponsors, pulling planes across a tarmac. Yes, you read that right: Pulling. Planes.

We love to have a good laugh - especially when it’s for a great cause.

In the video, Sandro is seen, with a determined look on his face, attempting to pull what appears to be an F15 fighter jet. With a small rope, he strains, he grunts, he tugs with all his might. Just when you think he’s about to collapse from the exertion, the camera pans out to reveal the epic reveal: It's just a small model of an F15 that Sandro has been "struggling" with. A master class in overacting, Sandro perfectly encapsulates the tongue-in-cheek tone we aimed to convey, raising both smiles and awareness for the cause.

As Sandro breathlessly states in the video, "Well, obviously I can't do this by myself. I'm going to need your help. No, I'm not asking you to come out and pull the plane. I am asking you to pull out your wallet and support the Special Olympics Oregon by clicking that link below and donating. Time for me to get back to work."

But let's be clear: Special Olympics Oregon is not just about awe-inspiring displays of strength and endurance. This amazing organization provides year-round training to over 12,000 children, youth, and adults living with intellectual disabilities every year, fostering a sense of community, physical fitness, and pure joy. In addition to cheering on athletic prowess on the field, they champion success in life's wider arena, an endeavor we're delighted to support.

We hope this video not only entertains, but also inspires you to contribute towards Special Olympics Oregon. Every chuckle and shared link is a step towards making a difference. After all, who says doing good can't be a laughing matter?

Because at Bergman Productions, we love to have a good laugh - especially when it's for a great cause.
